PRUFTECHNIK industrial accelerometers for continuous condition monitoring cut hardware costs by allowing simultaneous measurement of machine vibration, bearing condition and pump cavitation with one and the same sensor. Their patented Tandem-Piezo design combines the advantages of shear-type and compression-type accelerometers while avoiding many of their disadvantages. The current line-drive signal requires no intermediate amplification, even over extremely long transmission distances, while practically eliminating the danger of ground loops.
