Downloading and using Acrobat Reader
In order to view the *.PDF files described on the previous page, you must do two things:

Download and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader, Version 3
Load the PDF file into the Acrobat Reader:

(1) Download the Adobe Acrobat Reader
The files available for downloading on the previous page are stored in Portable Document Format, or PDF. In order to view them, you require the Acrobat Reader PDF viewer. The Reader, produced by Adobe Software, is available free of charge from the Adobe homepage (see link at bottom of page). Once downloaded, follow the installation instructions provided by Adobe and install the program on your hard drive.

The *.PDF files are platform independent, however, the appropriate Acrobat Reader version for your operating system is required.

Note: Adobe supplies a help file (help_r.PDF), located in the \acroread\help directory. This file provides information on using the Acrobat Reader and is a good place to start the first time you use the program.
(2) Load the files into Acrobat Reader
For best results, download the desired *PDF file from the PRUFTECHNIK site, then open it with Acrobat Reader. Depending on which browser you are using, Acrobat Reader may start automatically once the file has been downloaded.

The file can then be printed using the PRINT option in the FILE menu.

Note: the Acrobat Reader is approximately 1.5 MB in size (download time approx. 12 min. with 28.8 modem).
