A wide variety of VIBCODE studs (including standard studs in a range of thread specifications, long-necked extension studs and studs for replacing existing housing screws) allows efficient and effective mounting in nearly any measurement location. Also available is PRUFTECHNIK’s new bonded measurement stud:

The bonded VIBCODE measurement stud offers a no-nonsense
solution to the problem of measurement stud mounting on thin bearing housings. This simple and reliable unique new system retains the optimal signal conduction and anti-resonance characteristics of tapered, threaded stud designs. Studs and accelerometers bond directly into place; optionally, only a small pilot hole (3.6 mm dia. x 5 mm deep) is bored to guide a self-threading pin on the bottom of the stud or sensor. The pin holds the stud securely in any position while the bonding compound, coated on the mounting surface, hardens.

Particularly well suited to VIBCODE encoded measurement studs, which guarantee accurate data collection by automatically registering the measurement location with the five-in-one VIBROTIP data collector.
