| A common problem in the production of
copper rod is the presence of ferrous inclusions. The FERROCHEK eddy
current inspection system by PRUFTECHNIK detects ferrous inclusions
down to 0.02mg in size. Using an encircling coil with special
magnets, the equipment simultaneously identifies both ferrous
inclusions as well as rolling defects. The system consists of the
encircling coil and the EDDYCHEK
LAB 2 inspection unit that includes the FERROCHEK module for
ferrous inclusions and a normal differential module for rolling
defects. It can be connected to a PC for complete documentation of
