Welding lines with annealing
units

The EDDYSENSOR detects holes in
the weld seam and sends a signal to shut off cooling
water |
|
 |
Reduces scrap: Prevents water or gas
from leaking through weld seam hole into interior of
tube |
|
 |
Reduces danger of explosions:
Recognizes weld seam holes and signals annealing unit
to pump argon instead of hydrogen |
|
 |
Reduces downtime: Maintenance work is
limited by preventing water or hydrogen from entering the tube
interior | |
Operators of welding lines with
annealing units have always had to wrestle with the problem of holes
in the seam weld. Any cooling water or gas that leaks through the
holes into the tube interior can result in faulty production. The
PRUFTECHNIK solution identifies the holes, automatically shutting
down the cooling water and thereby reducing scrap production. The
danger of explosion due to hydrogen seepage into the tube interior
is avoided by pumping argon into the annealing unit when a hole is
detected by the EDDYSENSOR. |
